1st. Lt. Tom Webb Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom P. Jackson, attended school in Tipton. Entered Air Corps in April, 1941, trained in Hondo, Kelly Field, Texas, Chanute Field, Ill., Cimarron Field, Okla.; went overseas in 1943; served in India where he was killed in action in Nov. 1943. Awarded DFC, Air Medal, the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, Pres. Unit Citation.
